Usability Testing
Usability determines the effectiveness of your website. Even if your site seems to be performing well, slight tweaks in design, organization, or layout based on usability tests can have extraordinary results - improving clicks, purchases and return customers. Without extensive testing by experienced professionals, confusion and frustration can literally drive away visitors and buyers.
"Apollo has had an internet presence since 1996. Our site was huge, confusing, and artistically challenged... [now] we get compliments on the look and functionality of our site."
Apollo Marketing Manager, Brian Hughes
Step One - Gathering Subjects:
We find Internet users with a broad range of experience for your specific products and/or services. We obtain a diverse mix of experience, income groups, genders and ages to derive the best results.
Step Two - Conducting the Tests:
We observe users, one at a time, and ask them to perform simple tasks on your site. By carefully observing their reactions, clicks, facial expressions and interactive with them as they surf, we discover:
- Which navigational elements are effective
- Which elements are most engaging
- Whether they understand what everything means
- How they want to use the site vs. how it operates
- Where they get lost, frustrated or give up
- Why they clicked a link or performed any other action
Step Three - Putting Results to Use:
We utilize this research data to adjust your site where needed - incorporating fixes to cure users' problems. Often, well-designed sites only require small tweaks in layout or presentation to realize much greater performance and user returns.
